Location Scouting- Frank

We have many varied different options for our music video, as we are conducting a party we need to film in a tight space like a house, therefore one of our house can be used in filming to include sections of the party. We are also including the road outside the persons house to film the artist and her friend to walk in to the party. Our options are below. We chose a location like this due to the concept of a house party is popular within the demographic we are targeting as we are looking at teens and young adults so they can relate to the song and give the audience a good feeling.

We are planning of having sections of the video to divert from the party with shots of the artist and the rest of the party roaming around in the public, this is with flares therefore it would be best to do this in walk ways and areas that are not surrounded by vehicles or by pedestrians so we won't cause any disruption to the public. Parks and areas like this will be the best options. We chose a location like this as our first idea was to have flares and the artist and the actors to appear wild and keep up with this theme. Therefore we want a large open space so we can carry these shots out.

We have a event at our school coming up which has fireworks and we have considered using shots of this and including in our video, this would be good as we could get great footage of the fireworks and not have to do them ourselves which can turnout to be dangerous. We chose to set a part of the video in this location to add a different element to the video rather than one continued theme in one setting and having the fireworks continues with the image of wild and young people, along with the colourful connotations of pop.

We have many facilities to use at our school and one of these being a white screen which can be used in various ways as things can be projected on this to create a party image, also we can use it to film the artist to add backgrounds using editing techniques. We also have a recording studio(booth) we could use this to film our actress singing into these microphones showing her recording for the song in the video. We chose to set a part of the video here as it gives us many options on what to do with the shots taken here as we can project stuff onto it and makes it easier for post production with all three platforms of media we need to produce.
